BOTOX ® Cosmetic is a nonsurgical treatment that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. Very low doses of BOTOX ® Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections into the muscles. This relaxes the muscle and decreases the appearance of wrinkles in the injected areas. If you don’t continue with your BOTOX ® treatments your frown lines will return. This type of procedure can be done at in our Fort Worth office location which is conveniently located to Southlake, Keller, Argyle and Mansfield.

How long will it take?
The procedure takes 5-15 minutes and is done in our Fort Worth office.
What is the recovery?
Minimal redness and/or swelling at the injection site usually resolves within hours after Botox® treatments. At times you may get a small bruise at the injection site which may take a little longer to resolve. You may return to work the same day. We ask that you don’t exercise for 24 hours. The result is apparent in about a week, and lasts for 3-4 months.
What medications should I take or avoid taking with this procedure?
You should not take any blood thinners or anti-inflammatory medications for a week before your Botox® treatment, and you should hold all over the counter supplements a week before your procedure. This will help reduce the risk of bruising. If blood thinners are prescribed for you by your cardiologist or primary care physician, you should get clearance from them to hold these medications before they are discontinued. Dr. Lovelace and the staff at their Fort Worth office will go through your list of medication, and let you know what exactly you need to do with those medications before your procedure. Make sure that you bring all of your medications with you to your consultation.
What are the risks?
